I would like to know if you can get a good job from getting an online degree? I know that the online school has to be reputable. Also, I would be going for my masters degree. If you’ve been able to get a job with an online degree, I would like to hear from you.

Please only answer if you have achieved a degree or are in the process of working towards a degree from an accredited online university. Let me know what you also feel are the advantages and disadvantages. Also what school did or do you attend.

Online degree program was first introduced to fit the busy schedule for working adults to continue their education. The demands of online education continue to increase rapidly and become one of the popular channels for not only working adults but also other students to further their education through online degree programs. It’s very common from students from various countries to study at universities at USA and Canada. Many American’s students do further their study at universities from other countries. Before the available of online education, students who need to study at any university location at any country worldwide, he/she need to physically travel to that country and live there to complete all the courses need to get their degree. Students who plan to study abroad need to include the living expenses, travel cost and other miscellaneous spending into their education budget. I m considering enrolling to Washington State University’s online bachelors degree in business administration program. I currently run my own small business plus hold down a part time job so I do not have the time to attend the university in person. Would an online degree from this state university be the same as a if i had attended in person?

If two people applied for the same job and held the same degree but one was from a online university and one was from a true “brick and mortar” university, would it make a difference to potential employers?

I’m considering enrolling in Boston Universities (online)MS in Computer Info Systems. Does anyone think that this is a bad idea? Also, does an online degree from an established university carry the same stigma as an online degree from the for-profit schools? By the way, the only way anyone would know if I got the degree online is if I told them. There are no special identifiers on the degree.

If you are just beginning an online degree program, I might suggest purchasing a new computer, as this will remove any uncertainty related to your computing hardware and software at the onset.

An online degree can be an extraordinarily satisfying learning experience for many working adults. While there will certainly be challenges, the rewards upon graduation are far greater. Preparing for your journey towards your online degree will be vital towards success.
