Online degrees are growing in popularity. It will still be a few years before they are at the same level as traditional degrees, but I believe they will get there eventually.
I have heard of a few employers rejecting an application because the only education was an online degree. However, I have heard of others who took the degree at face value. It really depends on the employer.
